I know this is a really OLD post from 2010. I just came across it. My question is, not if you believe in ayin hara or people who remove it, but did anyone go to any of the above people and leave the appointment feeling like no more ayin hara was upon them? Like they were "cured?"

Thanks!

I love that! I think I know her... I once went for a waxing... OK whatever. Let's just say, I ran home. Without the waxing.
OP, sweety, I have this beautiful new bridge for sale. Please dont tell anyone because I want YOU to have it. Oh. I only take cash. Used bills. In twenties. I'll tell you where to leave it. But do not involve the police or I will put a curse on all your onions. They will grow beards and taste like beets and will interact inappropriately with your carrots. Unless of course, you pay up before I leave the country immediately...

I know that this is a really old post from 2013, but I will openly admit that I go to a woman every week who does this kind of work. She melts lead, and says something while circling the pot around my head, then pours the lead into a bowl of water. I definitely feel the relief immediately.
I opened up and explored a huge trauma for me this week. I was so stressed that I could barely talk. I couldn't sleep or eat. I went toy appointment with her, and as soon as she started, I felt the stress leaving me. For about 6 hours after, I kept letting out these sighs of relief, and I'm almost feeling completely better.
The woman I use was trained by a big sefardi rabbi in eretz yisroel. She doesn't just remove Ayin Horah.
Some pointers from my personal experience:
-I am an empath and very sensitive to energy. I can be fine one minute, and then walk into a party. Two people start talking about me, and suddenly I'm sick. Unless, I pick up on it, and can protect myself from it. When I feel weak and sick, I go to her, and she can read in the lead when it happened, and by whom. This situation is not typical. Not necessary for most people. My rabbi said it's okay for me to go to her, but does not believe that it's necessary. "Just don't believe in Ayin Horah and it won't affect you". Again, by me, its different. I went through severe trauma as an empathic child, and then trained in energy healing. My body is very very sensitive, and once it's off balance, I can't bring it back on my own as of yet.
- melting the lead can only clear things that are in the consciousness on some level. I can't just go to her and skip therapy. I use her to be able to handle intense trauma therapy and still function. So, I can be cleared up well, and then do an intense trauma session, and go to her with huge amounts of stress that need clearing up.
-this does not have to be done in person. Yet, if you want to feel the effects right away, you should do it in person.
I'm sharing this in case it helps one person out there. When I was at that point of needing information, and not knowing where to turn, it would have been so helpful to read a post like this. Perhaps one day, someone who needs, will read this and it will bring them one step closer to the yeshua they seek.

Would you mind sharing who you go to?

Relish, I hope you don't mind me saying, but it sounds like this is your way of releasing negative energy. It reminds me of the emotional freedom technique. It's not the lead that is doing it. It is really you. It's fine as long as it works for you!

I am familiar with eft, and I have found this to work in a slightly different way.
I'll take the credit

The idea is, someone can have ill feelings for another, out of jealousy (or in your face ostentation or bragging about one's good fortune) and that can somehow stir things up in the Heavenly court, as in, hey, does this person really deserve the good fortune? And depending on where that person is, and how they're managing it, they may be judged a bit more strictly and may lose out somehow.
I think this is it, in a simplistic nutshell.
Some years ago I heard Rabbi Kessin on lashon hara, who also got into the inner workings of the Heavenly court, and what the harm lashon hara can bring on a person. So maybe it's not all as woo-woo as it sounds... |
I wasn't here in 2010, but doesn't your first sentence say something difference from the rest of your post?

Maybe. But I was just throwing out different things I've heard.
There are those of a more rational (NOT rationalist) bent, who dismiss these things. Yes, there is the concept of ayin hara - they won't dismiss the concept of bracha on things which are suma min ha'ayin, for example, and other ma'amrei chazal, etc. and might well say, live below the radar, don't draw attention to yourself for the reason I mentioned - but they don't go for these kinds of procedures.
And I have heard the line about it only applying to those who believe in it more than once, just don't remember the source to ask the questions it begs.
