OMG!! I thought this was a grand joke when you wrote that the chosson is a Vizhnitzer einikel, but lo and behold, the guy's name IS indeed Hager! Wow! We had better check his DNA. Do you think he will wear 'veisa zoken'?

It didn't originate with me... heard it at a shiur.. I know this is passing the buck, but if it were an aveira to say such a thing, I don't think the Rav would have...he also said America corresponds to Rome (Edom)... when the Zohar discusses Rome, he interprets this to mean America...
