This story happened a good 3 yrs ago, but I just reminded myself of it because my husbands birthday is coming up soon!!! anyway, we were newly married, and I was still working then too, so I didn't know if I would have time to even prepare something for him or not so I figured why not send a cake to his workplace!!! I got the idea because one of my workmates had recieved such a surprise the day before and it worked out well! Nothing could go wrong, right? EVERYTHING WENT WRONG!!! First of all, I didnt realize that the store I ordered the cake from wasn't such a great hechsher, then the person taking my order just didnt understand what I wanted. And the biggest flop of all was: THE STORE SENT THE RECIEPT WITH THE AMOUNT OF HOW MUCH THE CAKE WAS, WITH THE CAKE TO MY HUSBAND!!! You would've thought I didn't tell the person taking the order that he should send the receipt to me!
I first didnt realize that the receipt arrived at the wrong place until my husband called me and said: "Thank you for spending $65.00 on a cake that we cant eat!!" I was so embarrassed!! His workmates didnt leave him alone for the next few weeks about the flop!!!!

I hope he was smiling and teasing rather than sarcastic when he said that?
It's the thought that counts, after all.

Of course DH meant it sarcastically! I reminded him of the story yesterday after I posted it here and we were still laughing about it!!!
Well............unfortunately, the cake had to go to the garbage, by the time he brought it home to show me, it was all gooey and melty and it was a milchige cake so we didnt want to take any chances by giving it away and then having that person becoming sick C"V!
I'm still smiling right now remembering it!!!
