Am I a typical BR graduate? Who knows... the school covers practically the full spectrum of the Jewish experience.
But I send my daughter there and it's still a part of my life
I don't know what any of these acronyms mean

Brlc- Beth Rivka ladies college
OC- Ohel chana seminary (above two are Melbourne)
msy-Machon Shoshana yerushalayim

I havent read through all the pages, but on the first page there are 2 Tomer Dvorah grads who consider themselves typical for Tomer Dvorah.
What percentage of Tomer Dvorah grads DO YOU THINK have no internet at home, or if they do, theyre so filtered, they cant get on Imamother or any other similar discussion sites?
Update: From a quick search I found the OP and two others from Tomer Devorah.

Breuers (BYDRH) monsey. Anyone?
It's a great school, I just never felt like I found my place there. I don't feel like it influenced me in either direction.

What percentage of women married to men who wear Shtreimels DO YOU THINK look down at other women married to men who wear Shtreimels, who are on the internet for anything other than work purposes and wouldnt even consider being on the internet for anything but work purposes?
I think when internet use started years ago, the bulk of women married to men who wear Shtreimels thought internet use for anything but business was treif.

I think it did change a little. Did you go to the hs? Looking back I'm shocked at how fake and artificially "yeshivish" it was.. The hs principals have made a "model student" culture that reminds me of the stepford wives.

BY Baltimore also (waiting for it to show up). Then YGW in silver spring. Graduated in the early 2000s.
I do not really feel connected to either school so much. I guess we're all a product of all of our experiences though whether good or bad... school, home, friends, location, etc.

Another Chicagoan here!! Went to BYHSC, loved it !! Can't say I'm a poster child, but I don't think they'd specifically be unhappy with me. Some ways I'm BY type, some ways not. Did love the school!!!! Would totally send my kids there !!! Anyone else??

Akiva and Bais Yaakov Detroit. I really didn't like Akiva. I liked BYD. I graduated in the early 90s. Don't know what it's like now, cuz I don't live in Detroit, but I'd probably send my girls there.

Off topic, but why doesn't your post have a color?

Cute. Always wondered if I knew anyone else on here. As for the q on the color.. maybe all the color options were already used up on this thread? Does that happen after enough anon posts?
