dh and I are having a huge disagreement on the baby's name. according to the shaila we asked, we can only name after s/o not frum, if we name after a rabbi, biblical figure, etc with the same name and say that we are naming after the rabbi bec of the relative. So if I want to name teima I need to find s/o with that name. I'm pretty sure there is no one named teima in the tanach. my question is, can s/o think of some rabbi or somebody who's wife's (the rebbetzin) name was Teima?
I would really appreciate it.
TIA

Can you clraify...You can only name after someone who is/was NOT frum? I'm not arguing with you, I'm just genuinely curious. So you are not allowed to name the baby for someone frum? Why?

no, its just coincidental, that all the relatives we are considering to name after weren't frum.

Hmmm. That's a tough one. I have a daughter Tema (spelt tes ayin mem alef) and I'm pretty sure it's a Russian/Yiddish name. So no Tenach source over there! And I don't know anyone else with the name.

Sorry to have been absolutely no help whatsoever!

no. I thought it was along the same lines as temimah or tamar but s/o on another thread enlightened me and in fact its not. it means righteous, as in tam.

I have a family member Temmy and an acquiantence Temmy. I'm sure down the line this name stems from some big Rebbetzin as all the names do. I can try to find out but don't think they would know who it stems from originally.
