You know how on lag baomer your always see the dads and their kids playing sports and the moms just sit on the sidelines or eating hotdogs! This has got to change
I run a mom group and I'm organizing a relay race for moms for lag baomer at the park or beach (BTW how do I convince the moms to leave the kids with their dads for 1-2 hours?! They're already at the park anyway!). The gist of the race is to allow moms to practice real skills that are relevant to parenting.
Each obstacle is ideally only 5 minute long and my goal is for there to be 15-20 activities. Expected turnout is 10 ladies. Would love ideas that are humorous and related to parenting, if anyone wants to help me be creative I would totally appreciate it!! By the way feel free to critique:
I had a few ideas...
*Charades--silently acting creative ways to get your children to listen--whoever has funniest wins $5 credit to mostlymusic
*"saving Jr. From the cars" Race--whoever can Run fastest with a 10 lb sack of potatoes across finish line gets to keep potatoes
*Dont cry over spilled milk obtacle course race get a free gallon of cholov Yisroel milk (think of obstacles!)
*getting Jr off the tree--tree climbing obstacle course (for brave moms)--whoever can rescue teddy bear gets to take teddy home for the kids
*mommy in the middle--if mom can catch the bottle of hand sanitizer within 1 min she gets to keep it
Can you help me think of ideas--here are some things it might relate to:
*soemthing about getting kids out the door in the morning
*something about eating while feeding 2 kids at the same time
*somethign about taking things slowly
*something about holding onto your belongings and kids at the same time
*soemthing about "can't find Jr"
*soemthing about madnes of prepping for Shabbat/yom Tov
*something with music
*something with a bonfire
*soemthing about splitting up a catfight
*somehting about A meltdown
*soemthing about road trips
*somethin about being goofy and acting goofy
*something about can't find your phone or your phone broke
*something about getting kids in and out of bath
*soemthingn about laundry
*something about can't find glasses
*something about looking at the glass half full
*something about sneaking chocolate before getting caught
*something about a tower of dishes
*something about slipping or sliding
*something about fighting a kid to change his/her diaper!! Gah! :b
*somehting about getting kid into carseat
Useful props: balance beam and balancing, hula hoops, balloons, sand, toilet paper, water balloons toss, ball, rope etc.
Also all catchy names for the event appreciated!! For the introverts, how do I encourage them to get past themselves and let loose?
(P.S. It's based in LA, in case you were wondering.)

Love the idea! Wish you lived near me.
What about playing soccer (substitute US sport) with your kids. Get a goal and win the ball.
Egg balance without breaking any eggs
Toss a ball through a hole in a box (clean-up toys theme)

why not one of those dress up obstacle course races: dress up (over clothes- hat, big skirt, big shoes etc), gather items in cart or bag with one hand while pushing a teddy in a stroller and end with folding clothes, stacking items and putting teddy into a car seat.
