Aluminum size pans question

Trick question? They'd be the same size if they were made of something else.

Help me with my meat

If you can't finish your meat, try putting it on a sibling's plate while they're not looking.

Dessert to go at The Rest of the Traveller*, after enjoying The Specialty of the House*, Irish Stew.

What is rumpelnacht?

Also known in some circles as rumpeltog, rumpelvoch, and rumpelchoydesh. (Rumpelyohr? Let's not go there.)

Good solid dressers

Queen Elizabeth II comes to mind. Coordinating, tasteful outfits, sturdy shoes, matching handbag and hat.

AHMM is Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine and EQMM is Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine. Between library anthologies and garage sale finds, I've forgotten more mystery shorts than most people will read in a lifetime. But the two stories referenced have to do with an inn and a restaurant, respectively, with similar themes in the menu. To find out the theme, you'd have to get the lyrics to Tom Lehrer's Irish Ballad. You can pm me for more.

How do people move?
Typically, the brain sends electrochemical impulses through the nervous system to muscles that contract in the direction appropriate to the desired movement. Except in the case of reflexes or spasms, when the muscle contracts on its own without involving the central nervous system.

(with apologies for my very elementary understanding of physiology)

Would that be on the lines of:
I hold your hand in mine dear
I press it to my lips
I take a gentle bite of your dainty fingertips
My joy would be complete dear if only you were here....
Until they come to get me I will hold your hand in mine.

Hands in the pants

They’re selling postcards of the hanging
They’re painting the passports brown
The beauty parlor is filled with sailors
The circus is in town
Here comes the blind commissioner
They’ve got him in a trance
One hand is tied to the tight-rope walker
The other is in his pants
And the riot squad they’re restless
They need somewhere to go
As Lady and I look out tonight
From Desolation Row

Yes, but different song.
(Disclaimer: I didn't discover Tom Lehrer on my own, just earworms from my youth.)
