Yesterday I received a call from the number below and I missed the call. So I decided to type the number in google and this is the message I got.
$99 vacation phone scam aka Press '9' - Click HERE for Original Thread

Received a call yesterday on my cell from 214-279-0990 - Texas area code - it went to voice mail - recording says you've won a vacation and to press '9' - apparently if you answer the phone and do that then they can route LD calls and you get billed for it - weird.
Typed the # into google and found a blog with tons of other ppl who have received calls too on their phones

that same number called my regular phone the other day. I think they are trying to scam phones too.

Try to register your numbers, both cell and home at www.donotcall.gov, it's a national registry, you'll have to reply to an email they send you and you are on the list.

the do not call list is for the US, in Canada there are different laws.
