I'm realizing that almost every salad dressing has vinegar or lemon juice... Both sour and the general minhag is not to use vinegar and the like during days of judgment (aseres yemei yeshiva)...
So ladies, what salad dressing do you make now???
Recipes please.
I need to go to store soon and needs to know what I'll need for the salad...

I think salad dressing by definition contains some kind of acid- which will be sour. We don't have the minhag to avoid salad dressing though. Are you allowed to have it if you add enough sweetener that the final result is NOT sour?

Make a mayo based dressing ( mayo, garlic, salt, pepper, sugar and a bit of water), or use an a asain one using soy sauce ( soy sauce, garlic, sugar, oil)

I started a thread on this before rosh hashana and there are tons of amazing ideas.

I also make a dressing for a standard lettuce salad: mayo, honey, garlic cube or powder

Someone made a suggestion to use defrosted orange juice concentrate, instead of lemon. Sounds like it would work.

For the record, mayonnaise contains vinegar. Though TBH, eating salad without dressing never killed anyone and may do some people a world of good.
