Well, our collective hollering has born fruit. Here are some wedding gown designs, down-loadable and customizable. I have not used them.
I am neither a seamstress nor a Tznius expert. You are entirely on your own here. I'm just a kibitzer.

Apparently you are supposed to email the designer through that website to get the pattern.
I think her ideas are very good.
In other colors than white, those gowns would do for attending a simcha.
And matte fabrics are fine. It doesn't have to always be shiny or satin.
Keep some fabric on hand for a matching stole, made with the hemmer attachment on the sewing machine.
The designer mentioned caftans. I proposed one with elastic shirring at the shoulder, so you wouldn't need to put in a zipper or buttons.
