well since I dont live in ur area I cant be that much help. we were going to go away for a few days but realized that it would be more trouble and $ then it was worth. kosher for pesach hotel rooms, shelping food, shleping kids etc..
we decided to stay home and go on a few day trips to places in the area that we havent been b-4. since extended family is involved, we'll switch off from adult to children geared activities.
childrens musem
lion country safri
everglades
beach
butterfly world
picnic in park
sounds like a good list so far:)

There's a great childrens museum in Philadelphia called the Please Touch Museum if you have a car. Botanical Gardens, Zoo, Long Island Farms, Chelsea Piers, Central Park.

I vacationed in florida this year. we stayed on singer island which is in palm beach county, and then toured florida from there. butterfly world was gorgeous, but really not for children. it's a very delicate place. lion country safari was interesting but kids may get restless cuz u gotta b in the car for the safari part, but then u park the car and go over to the amusement park part of it. in miami, check out bayside mall, parrot jungle, sea aquarium, monkey jungle - m.j. is especially fun for children. also, miami has a great science museum for children.
if a/o is an aaa member, order their tourbooks. they are phenomenal and chock full of tips and information. pm for more information on florida's hidden treasures. just pm w/ the area of florida u'll be in, and I'll help u out.
whatever u do, remember that it's all about the family and the kids!!!
