My kids went to a frum sleep away camp
I one mentioned the name on this site
they did not allow the kids at the camp to call home
the whole entire summer.
it was their first time at sleep away -
the following year I sent them to a camp
where they called home , once a week
which DO you think is best?

a kid who has never been away from home needs a mommy's voice to reassure her ... especially when all the letters were come pick me up NOW!!!

Yitzi called home on fridays to wish a Gut Shabbos, but other than that, they don't call home unless there is something wrong.
I think the phone calls helped me get through the summer easier. Chanan will go this year and he will really need that weekly call home.
