For the apple crumble- it makes 1 9x13 or 2 round.
And the kugal I can't remember. I think It goes in a 9x13 or 3 loaf pans. |
ok, 2nd question - what sort of squash? Would butternut work in taste and size? 3 butternut sounds a lot. |
Reg. squash.

Mix equal parts of Cortland apples and sweet potato, chopped into cubes. This does not mean 6 apples = 6 sweet potatoes. I mean chopped up quantities should be equal so let’s say 4 sweet potatoes to 6 apples.
Then, toss with oil, sugar, and orange Juice. Bake in the oven until soft. This is an amazing and colorful side dish! I did it in a pot one year when I didn’t have an oven. |
This sounds just delicious, I think I'll try it some time, not necessarily Pesach!

I made the apple crumble, with a bit of a variation. I found a similar recipe in the Pupa cookbook, and since it called for less potato starch, I made that one. I incorporated parts of MOM222's recipe. It came out absolutely delicious, except next time I might leave off the bottom crust.

I have a great Fluffy Chocolate Cake. It is baked in a Bundt Pan. (This tastes like chometz, you will not be able to tell that this is a pesach cake )
Chocolate Cake
Preheat over to 350.
9 Eggs ( I use Extra Large)
2 Cups Sugar
3/4 Cup Cocoa
3/4 Cup Oil
1 tsp. Coffee
3/4 Cup Potato Starch
1. Make a stiff snow by beating Egg Whites and 1 Cup Sugar. (using electric mixer)
2. In a small bowl mix well the Egg Yolks and 1 Cup Sugar. (via Hand)
3. Fold in coffee and cocoa to the Egg yolk mixture.(via Hand)
4. Add Oil to Chocolate Mixture.(via Hand)
5. Put the Potato Starch in a large bowl, Add the Snow and Mix the snow with the Potato starch by hand using a spatula, mix well but gently.
6. Put chocolate mixture in mixer and mix well 30-40 seconds. (using electric mixer)
7. Add Chocolate mixture into Snow, Mix well but gently using a spatula. (via Hand)
8. Line/Grease tube pan and bake for 1 hour at 350- ( I do it for 1 hour and 15 min..)
9.Remove Cake from Oven and let cool turned upside down.
Enjoy!!

Someone who made this recipe told me she used a regular 9x13 baking pan and it came out great. Although I am not sure if it comes out the same when using a bundt cake pan.

I also made the apple crisp. Thanks for the awesome recipe! It got rave reviews from the guests. Their little boy kept asking for more "apple crust." It was so cute.

Thank you so much for the apple crisp crumble recipe!! My family enjoyed it so much and my daughter was so impressed with the crust that she almost considered making it during the year (until she saw the amount of oil/sugar )
