Just came across this recipe. It's from dining in cookbook. I plan on making it next week.
Has anyone tried it with pastrami or any other cold cut instead of the corned beef as recipe calls for?
Also, Im thinking of adding shredded cabbage, what do you think?

How many servings is this recipe when not doubled?
Does anyone recommend adding cabbage?

I make it all the time, minus the pasta.
I don't think I've ever made it with corn beef actually. I usually use smoked turkey breast and lately have been adding pastrami since the kids decided they like it.
