-Take in larger size skirts- I've even done a womens mini skirt just right for a little girl (with a matching bow)
-sleeveless dress with a sash
-replace elastic with buttonhole elastic to make anything adjustable
-add a ruffle to the hems, match pattern to solid and use the scraps for a matching bow
-shop thrift stores, you may be pleasantly surprised

How much are you looking to spend? I recently was at a store in Williamsburg with a 6 yr old girl who is on the taller side but only weighs 33 lbs... she needed a size 2 skirt around her waist but it was obviously way too short - to get the length to work she needed a size 10!!!!!!!!!! Then, the price take was $185 for the skirt and $160 for the matching top NO WAY are these ppl nuts?
