Yes, absolutely. But after 2 hours, it gets hot, right? That’s’ because it doesn’t have the fans that a desktop has. A machine like that without fans ends up burning more electricity as it heats up… but you want the benefits of small size…

I never close my computer at work. Every day before I leave I log off. Then in the morning I just put in my password and the computer is opened.

I seldom close my computer. I have programs and jobs running in the background. there is no issur for puter to work on Shabbos. Speakers and screen are off at night and Shabbos.

I have a $6,000 machine here. I sometimes need to reboot during work to give it a new breath of fresh air.

a computer technician told me that the computer itself uses very little electricity. it's the monitor which fresses. Standby is for the monitor.
