It's a little confusing, and with too much narrative about her family. Maybe it interests other people, but I want to see recipes clearly laid out, not have to search for them between lines of anecdotes and stories about her kids and husband.

That said, I didn't yet try any of the recipes, but I'm sure they're good as most of hers are. The cookbook itself is a pain to navigate.

I checked it out in the book store. The stories and pictures were nice, but the recipes weren't my style.

Did not enjoy it at all. If you PM me your address, I'm happy to send you my copy as long as you cover cost of shipping.

this is her first since she made aliyah- wonder if it will be different. the others rely on a lot of processed/ready-made ingredients that you can't get in israel- maybe now there will be more actual recipes....

I made a few things from her first cookbook.
I bought her second cookbook and haven't made a thing. Annoying because it was pretty expensive.

That was part of the problem too. I did make a list of a few recipes that I wanted to try but I couldn't find the ingredients in any grocery stores.

was about to buy it when I saw it in the judaica store, but im happy I didnt

its all about her family! and her kids, I mean they all look adorable, but I dont really care.
and the recipes didn't seem to be so exciting. and oh, I get really nervous when theres a lot of advertisements for products in cook books.

isn't this lashon hara? if you don't like the cookbook then don't say anything and then people will understand not to buy it.

Dear gd, it's just a review of a product. Nothing personal.

By that logic, we should never comment on anything when asked for reviews... People have a right to know when they might be wasting their hard earned money.

I thought Quick and Kosher was great, the rest have left a lot to be desired. Product endorsements, sponsorships and family pics abound. Disappointing- she should give it away for free with all the ad's she secured for the cookbook (NK, Manishchevitz, HaGefen etc etc)
