Isn't it gets my goat or have I been hearing wrong all this time or did you simply type the word wrong? I really want to know, I'm not trying to tease or anything....

it just shows you - people make mistakes, theyre not perfect like u think u are - and youre not because u just made a mistake.
we re not all checking everything we ve written to make sure its up to your standards, some of us dont have time. it already takes alot of time just to read thru all the messages and respond etc...

Whoa, amother! This post sounds really mean, unless I just misread the tone. When did hindarochel say she was perfect?

Btw, the phrase 'gets my goat' is interchangeable with, and somewhat favored in many style books over 'gets my goad"

Here's one for y'all (and please don't irritate southerners by using y'all for anything other than second person PLURAL):

There are two words that have as their vowels a, e, I, o, and u appearing in that order and with each vowel being used once and only once. (Okay, there's actually 4 words because -ly could be added as a suffix to each of the two mentioned above).

Ex. Adventitious isn't one of the words b/c although the vowels are in the right order, I is used twice.

Anybody want to try? Very Happy

ABSTEMIOUS?

OK, I confess, I looked in the dictionary Wink
