Would it have Jack Haley, Jr. play Jed?
Actually, Ebsen was originally cast as the Scarecrow, and Ray Bolger was cast as the Tin Man. Bolger convinced them to switch it. So it could have been a very different movie.

I also once heard a Jewish version of this song where the father was a rabbi, shul president, gabbai, and shamash, and the joke was that the shamash took all the other fathers' stuff.
