Sad Refuah shelaima to all. I hope this round of chemo gives you good results with minimal side effects.

You're often on my mind.

Shana Tova to all of you, and gmar chasima tova. This week (if she makes counts) will be the first chemo of the new year.

Someone in shul on Rosh Hashana was telling me about a big tehillim gathering for cholim in Brooklyn on Tuesday September 10, with a place online to enter the names, which will be on a big screen. I don't know the woman, so can't follow up for details. I figured if it was something this big I'd be able to find it online by googling, but I couldn't. Does anyone out there have any information?

Ok, so I found it. Here:
http://www.misaskim.org/news_d.....d=569

Of course, they want money to include the names of your cholim. Which you enter here:
https://www.misaskim.org/asifa_donate.php

And, of course, we cannot donate at this time. So if anyone is so inclined to add the following names with your donation, I would be grateful:

Kayla Rus bas Chaya Rochel
Binum Binyamin Tuvia ben Chana Freidel
Chana Freidel bas Sorah

which of course you know as my daughter, my husband and my mother-in-law.

But also my dear friend: Esther bas Tsipporah
And the children of dear friends in desperate need:
Refael Pesachya Yaakov Halevi ben Aviva Sorah
Refael Avraham Gershom Tzvi ben Emuna.

Thank you.

Very important scans scheduled for tomorrow, they will tell us whether or not the hell we've been through the past few months has been worth it. Please daven extra.

And as always, money is a struggle, especially after the holidays, even with the donations we received (which made yom tov possible at all), so if you are fortunate/blessed enough to have extra, please remember us. I have davened very hard over yom tov to be able to be on the giving end this year. Having to ask for help really stinks. Sad

Thank you to all of you who have helped us with prayers and donations.

Thank you for the update obsessedancer. I am davaening that the scans should bring good news.
I have been davening for kayla rus all the time throughout the yomtov period, when taking challah with a bracha, when lighting shabbos and yomtov candles, and on RH and YK. I have asked several friends to daven for her too. I hope that she is in good spirits.
with my continued wishes for her complete and speedy recovery,
kol tuv, and lots of hugs

Scan results were not good, they showed slight tumor growth since her last scan several months ago. Our oncologist will be consulting once again with Dr. Bruckner in the Bronx and together they hope to come up with a new treatment plan later this week. Back to the drawing board, as they say. Sad

No, not a 360, that's a full circle getting us back to where we started! We need a 180! That's opposite side of the circle. LOL Very Happy But I knew what you meant! Thanks so much!

Sorry to hear the bad news. Dr. Bruckner is an amazing doctor. May he be Matzliach in treating her.
