Thank you for asking, we are having a rough week. We started Dr. Bruckner's chemo (with our regular oncologist at LIJ) on Monday. It made her very sick Monday night, which is uncharacteristic for her, as she has up till now, Baruch Hashem, tolerated chemo very well. So we are medicating her with anti-nausea drugs, but they put her to sleep. So she's not really spending her days normally now. And we also had a new baseline scan taken on Tuesday, and the results showed tumor growth since 2 months ago. So we really need this new chemo to work. Please step up the tefillos. NEXT week (not this week), there will be a segula challah bake for her, organized by Barbara Gildin. Please email her if you plan to bake and keep her in mind, so that she will know if we have enough people. Her email is Simchaplanners@yahoo.com, and specify that it is for next week, for Kayla Rus bas Chaya Rochel. This week's bake is for Shoshana Bas Golda for a Zivug if you are so inclined. I don't know who that is, but that is the name chosen this week by this particular group. When you bake for Kayla Rus, please include Refoel Pesachya Yaakov HaLevi ben Aviva Sorah. As far as I know, he is still critical, and the family has not been giving any updates.

I will be making challah in a few minutes and will add Kayla and Refael pesachya to my refuah shleimah list. They should have a refuah shleimah bekarov.

Unbelievable, the kind of luck we are having. Just 3 months out of warranty, our large standalone freezer door fell off when my 7-year-old opened it, Baruch Hashem it didn't hit her in the head! Frigidaire will pay for the part but not the labor, and we are having trouble getting a repairman to come before next week. That is another several hundred dollars worth of food that is going bad, plus the cost of repairs. This happened last year before Pesach which is why we replaced our old freezer when the compressor went. I just don't understand why Hashem needs to test us financially when we are already being tested with serious illness. I just want to cry.
