Facade of Love

don't love me today
because it's my birthday
don't love me tomorrow
because I am dead

my bed is cold & damp & stiff
cannot breath because there is no air
my body wonders why
it can no longer feel the pain

I needed the love
each day before then
if only someone would have known
the power a hug could have shown

don't make me a yummy cake
or buy any FUN balloons
purple pink yellow green
the flowers have lost all meaning

I see the sky & feel the grass
but is this where I want to be
my life is spinning round & round
NO please don't put me in the ground

there's blood in my veins
& tears in my eyes
don't bother to look for it will already be too late
as the earth covers my body

I feel no love
I feel no life
& my soul hides at the gates of fire
death appears to be the winner

Crying Hug Hug You write really well! Have you considered publishing or perhaps writing a blog?

Hope it's not too late: Hug Hug Hug Hug

Was this poem published somewhere? I see it's copyrighted. If not then it should be.

Totally agree. Book worthy or at least a blog!!

If I was a huggy person, I'd totally give you one. Stay strong!

I love this poem, I especially love the hug part - this is a true work of art!
I've never met a exceptionally gifted artist, who knew no pain.
so Hugs to you, your poem, and your past.
