I have several beloved, washed out, "oldies but goodies" jean skirts.
They are my no-fail weekday uniform...
But they are getting too faded and vintage-looking even for my liking...
I want to make them look dark-blue or even black.
Has anyone used RIT dye on faded denim to restore color?

No - but I would assume following the directions that you could dye anything. I have one such skirt that I wore to death - my kids made me buy a new one and I still wore the old one - rips and everything - speaking of vintage - I love it!!!

I would recommend bleaching first, so when you dye it the dark denim blue, you won't have patches...

If you are going to do it, use a laundromat machine!

This is the instructions I have gotten in the past when using the dye.
Those industrial machines have more of a rinsing capacity.
