I made this recipe with some changes-
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/p.....-iii/

halved it all and put it in a smaller pan (I don't know the dimensions, it looks like about half the size of a 9x13)
I used applesauce instead of oil

it was delish!
I frosted it with some duncan hines vanilla frosting mixed with a bit of the canned pumpkin.

potato knish kugel

5-6 potatoes
1 medium onion
1/2 c oil
3 eggs + egg for brushing
1 c flour
1 t salt
sesame seeds

peel potatoes, cut into chunks and boil til soft. mash potatoes and let cool. dice onion and fry in a bit of the oil. let cool.
mix all the ingredients together and spread into a greased 9x13. brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with seeds. bake at 350 for about an hour. (my DH likes the top more done so I bake it longer for him)
