Attention those that are more organized and creative than me:
What do you do with all the pots, pans, appliances and gadgets that there's no room for in the kitchen cabinets but you're not ready to part with? They usually end up cluttering my counters.

I just packed away some pans that seem to be superfluous. If I haven't needed them by next Pesach, I will probably feel safe in disposing of them.

Obviously you don't need them and they're not cluttering. My stuff I feel I need daily, and it's all over the place.

I have a closet in my storage/laundry room (off the kitchen) that I keep almost ALL my baking stuff in. I just don't have enough cupboards to store it in. When we get our bookcases & buffet and the serving pieces get moved out of the kitchen then I'll see how much more I can get in there.

B"H I have a pantry. But it's filled. I've started hanging pots and pans on the walls in there.

Is there other stuff that you can part with, to make room for the stuff you do need? Are there things you can put away in a closet, storage or basement that you only use a couple of times a year (very fancy platters, special appliances, other serving pieces)? Also take a look at your kitchen to see how you have things organized. Many times I have found a better way to place things and find I have a lot more room!

For the pots and pans you cud use a hanging rack thingy, use the extra cleared pot cabinet room for appliances, gadgets.

Treat your kitchen as prime location. Any shelves easily accesable should only have items on it that are used all the time, and within the correct area.
For example your spice turn-table (easily allows access to many spices) should be within arm reach to the stove top. (any spices that are only used once a year, like for ex. in your honey cake- should NOT be on your turn table unless you have more than enough room. Put the spices hardly used on a top shelf somewhere in the kitchen.)
paper goods (if you use them a lot like we do ) should be very easy to get to, and well stocked. Keep a cutlery container with all the diff. plastic knives/forks and spoons within arms reach. (use it and toss it. You'll be glad at the end of the day when your sink is still empty)
Counter space- only things that are used weekly/bi weekly should be out. Anything else must be put away. Under the sink or......? (use your imagination. maybe the broom closet- in which you can build some shelves)
About extra things- give yourself a one month altimatum. If you haven't used those items within that time- GIVE IT AWAY OR THROW OUT. You'll feel so much better in an organized uncluttered kitchen/house.
