well, you never know what happened but here are a few facts.
I know both ppl. Her better than Him.
She was my first cousins closest friend in elementary school when she stil attended satmar school. My very openminded and couldn't care less aunt had my cousin seperated from her cuz she came home w/crazy ideas from her.
she was only accepted into munkatch school after lost of 'pretektzia' and a huge donation and promises from someone else (I'm not sure if it is somone else who takes care of at risk teens or a differnet asken) they did NOT want to accept her. not at first and not later. but money talks.... - this I did not hear now, I remeber when this was happening. how my cousin told me that she doesn't have a school and that a family member who knew her family (didn't know her sister then) said the above.
Mr. weberman is an upstanding respected, erlicha man. he has helped many ppl and no one expect for her complained.
her family, is horrified and are ashamed to show their face in the streets! I know her sister PERSONALLY.
the above I know as facts.
the below I heard...
this is what I heard - She had a stalker she couldn't get loose, so she went to weberman to complain and made a restraining order on him. later on, she changed her mind and wanted him as a bf, he, her then bf, wanted to get back at him (weberman) so this whole scandal came out of it.
take whatever you want from this post. but DON'T change it to fit your veiws and opinions on the issue.

Sorry groisamomma, but it's the truth that pedophilia is covered up in Chareidi communities. In fact, a chassidish woman was quoted in an article that I recently read where she said basically that the Chassidish community does so much chesed but when in comes to this issue about molestation & s-xual abuse, "the abusers are protected & the victims are victimized" so in fact I was really quoting what a woman from the Chassidish community herself said about the community but if you want to bury your head in the sand about it & instead attack me, go right ahead!!

No. You didn't. You attacked her in a disgusting manner. You said that you have some "insider" information, and that if other knew what you did, we wouldn't "be influenced by the media" -- ie, we wouldn't believe that this girl was molested. You called her a liar.

it is always good to be dan lekaf zechus. if you are weberman's mother, or wife, or brother, it would be a good idea to listen to his side carefully, and take everything the girl says with the biased ears of one who is related to the accused. but if you are not closely related to him, or have never been falsely accused of molesting yourself, I wonder what the motivation is to discount a victim's testimony. it is beyond shocking to me how many frum mothers on this site are demonizing a young girl who was (allegedly) molested. the facts in this case are pretty compelling. I would be dan lekaf zechus, and say perhaps the reason "if I would know this girl I wouldn't believe what she says" is because she was molested by weberman! I do not expect a girl who was taken advantage of by her frum therapist, to be the most well adjusted girl in her class. that is just the most absurd argument!

For some reason I thought Chareidi includes other walks, not just Chassidish. It must be my mistake. FTR, I think the same as you do about covering up molestation, but my thoughts include all sects of Orthodox Jews, not just the one I have a beef with.

Some sick puppies here. Just hope that you don't find out what it's like to have a child come to you with a story like this. And then watch the world say horrible things about him or her because they were raped. Yikes. Some frightening behavior here.

Groisamama, I don't have a beef with anyone (except with you for attacking ME  ) but yes, it's a problem in the greater Chareidi community (not only the Chassidish community per se) but this particular incident was a Chassidish one which was why it came up & also b/c of the Chassidish lady who was interviewed as I mentioned earlier. I'm sorry that you don't feel it was classy of me to mention that there is a problem with covering up these issues in the Chassidish community but I think I have a right to speak my mind & I don't think I should be afraid to do so in a forum such as this one where we are all frum women who should be mature enough to discuss the problems with the greater frum community openly & honestly!!

BestSeven, the people who are "bringing us down" are Rabbi Nechemya Weberman, Rabbi Yehuda Kolko, Baruch Leibowitz, Rabbi Yisroel Weingarten, Dpvid Kramer, Rabbi Stanley Z. Levitt, Rabbi Avraham Mondrowitz, and all the communities that protect and support them. As you may guess, these people are Jews and none of them are on this forum.
