Apple-Fennel "compote"
from Familycircle
1/3 cup vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar
tsp cinnamon
tsp cumin
half fennel bulb, sliced
small onion, sliced
2 apples, peeled, cored & sliced
2 minced cloves garlic
You combine the vinegar, sugar, cinnamon, and cumin in small pan and heat. Add the fennel, onion, apple and garlic. Let cook until apple is soft.
