Just wanted to remind everyone that up until Shabbos starts tomorrow is the last time to do laundry before the 9 days.

Get in those last loads of towels and clothes ASAP so you're not overloaded doing laundry and also Shabbos prep tomorrow.

Also, be sure you're prewearing your clothes, so they'll be ready for the 9 days, too. If you haven't started already you might need to change outfits a few times today and tomorrow.

Hope this helped in case anyone didn't have this on her "radar screen" yet.

Waaaaaaaaaaah!

Did you have to mention the 'L' word????????

My family is complaining that I've been talking about nothing else all day!

(My dryer broke and I can't hang out cos it's raining, I currently have 3 wet loads and another 2-3 to do today and it's already half past three in the afternoon).

Someone from your town once told me that she couldn't remember one day it didn't rain since she had moved there. Tongue Out

Sorry to upset you Mummy.

Is there a laundry-mat near you? Some big families here just get it all over with at once by using like 5 washers and dryers (at the same time) at a laundry-mat. Sure it costs, but you kinda need to get the job done now and its extremely time efficient.

btMOM, don't worry, you didn't upset me Smile
It's just that I seem to have become a little laundry-obsessed over the past few days.

Thanks for the idea about the laundrette, I just told my husband that I'm going to put all the wet washing into black bags and stick them in the car and he has to drive around until he finds a place that will let him use the dryer only!!!!

Shalhevet - it doesn't rain here all the time. Only in the summer. And the other seasons. And in the night time and in the daytime, and when my boys have school holidays and are ready to throttle one another and I want to tell them to go in the garden. (They go anyway, the worst thing that happens is that they muddy their clothes which then need washing Rolling Eyes )

Oh well. This should be my biggest problem..........

Well, I don't have to wait for the 9 days. My machine didn't stop working today. I washed a weeks worth of laundry for my daughters to be returned to camp tomorrow, plus the regular household laundry, with tons of stuff to iron.

I think that if you calculate when is the latest you can wash the laundry to have enough time to dry your clothes and pre wear them, you should be ok. if you are dependant on the weather, keep that in mind. and give yourself a little more space ( a few hours or a day) for just in case.

and take care of your clothes and air them at night to be able to re-wear if you don't have enough.
