This is a poem I wrote to my friend when we were both high school girls, at the peak of rebellion/depression etc. I may have written it to her, but there are times when I feel that "high school friend" inside me, then I can use it too.

Sometimes you
Feel
You’ve lost you
zeal
To do that which is right.
Why should I
Try
And live a
Lie
I’ve go no strength to fight.
There’s no one
There
No one to
Care
My struggles – oh, so hard.
They want to
See
The perfect
Me
My toil they disregard.

Just know, friend
Dear
There’s Someone
There
Your strength appreciates.
He knows your
Fears
And sees your
Tears
Knows your inner debates.
And in the
Course
Of the life
Yours
Your every word of ‘aint,
Is treasured
There
And valued
Dear
Each moment of restraint.
