Can any of you great poets here help me with a short poem that will go with a little gift to mom on mothers day?
Not too serious, not too long. Something short and sweet.
TIA!

Those who know and love me know
I'm not the type to let chocolate go
Or have floors that are consistently clean
Hair with always a perfect sheen
You won't see me with makeup at the pool
3 course meals? I'm nobody's fool
But those who know and love me know
I'm not the type to do things for show
They say I project true bonhomie
And try to be a strong, invincible Mommy
But I know that anything in me that's good and true
Can be traced directly to you!
Happy mother's day!
Now I understand everything!
Every year my appreciation only grows!

I'm not a good wifey
But I have a good mommy.
I'm giving a gift on moms day to mine
But this poem to her does not rhyme.
Do any of you have a simple mainstream
Poem for me?

Does anyone besides me see something slightly dishonest about giving one's mother the impression that you wrote her a poem for her when someone else did it? I assume that's what's going on, because Hallmark has more poems than you could ever need.

Uh.... The same way my mom knows that I didn't create a unique Hallmark card, she will know that PF's poem is coming from her...

OK, it's erev Shabbos and I have no business being here. I don't think it's too usable but hope it makes s/o smile:
Violets are blue
Roses are red
Here is a poem
Sure glad you're not dead.

Dear Mom,
As your child I have to say,
That things just never appeared this way,
With that I mean I never knew,
Just how hard this was to do.
Now that I'm a parent too,
I know how hard this was for you.
So I thank you mom cause I didn't know,
What you sacrificed for me to grow.

The dog just peed on your favorite shoe.
Your homemade stew tastes like vegetable glue.
......
The principal’s calling. It must be for you.
They misspelled ‘Mom’ in my buttcheek tattoo.
Meet my new boyfriend. He’s older than you.
My rent’s overdue. Can I borrow from you?
