DD says "everyone" wears a new pair until it's completely ripped, then they throw it out.
I change every single day into a clean (non ripped) pair.
Who's doing something wrong here?
Gues I should make this a poll..........

not sure what to tell u...
Sometimes I cannot wear them so I have to wear regular socks...
People give me funny looks, but sorry it's either that or a bad rash.. depends on environment and weather...weird no?
Yes I wear mine until there are basically "dead"

I wear them to death unless they actually hold up but are in dire need of a washing. Then I'll launder them and continue the cycle.

Sorry....
I don't wear tights.... I wear cotton Sox (bobby sox with long skirts)
For Shabbos, If I'm wearing a short skirt, I'll wear a pair of very sheer stockings.... which are washed after every single use.

Please tell me I am misunderstanding. There are civilized people living in industrialized nations with generous water resources who don't wash their hosiery--whatever form of hosiery they wear--after every wearing?
Then again, considering some of the horrifying responses to the "changing linens" poll, why am I surprised?

This is embarassing, but DH has a stockings feti$h (I guess the smooth look, feeling, peeling off, it's see-through but its not type of thing, etc.)
But now I don't wear them as often, so it's even more special when I do for simchas, etc.

Absolutely!!
I wear a clean pair every day and keep washing till they're gone. Some pairs last months.
