I'm in
an intimate
relationship
right now.
It's deep.
It's incredible.
It's intense.
It engulfs me
Overwhelms me
Terrifies me.
There's no
way out
of this
relationship.
It holds
me captive.
Doesn't
let go.
Drives
me insane.
My intimate
relationship
with
PAIN
is too close
for comfort.
It is
suffocating.
It is
agonizing.
It is
core
slashing.
I'm way
too deep
into the
relationship
to
withdraw
to stand
up
for myself.
I'm held
captive
within
me.

I've never posted in the writing club forum before, do people post constructive critism or questions or just positive feedback? I don't want to offend anyone....

well back when we started, people would add their own writings on the same topics
give critique if the person asked for it
give applause if they liked it
ask questions
maybe you want to pick a code name to sign with so we know that all the writing comes from you?
go back and read the first two threads.
"I wanna start a writing clun. u in?
and
I dare u not to look
and ull get a better idea
u write beautifully!!!

intimate relationship
was it just physical
was it just emotional
was it ever
was it ever
was I anything
was I something
was I me
was I real
where were you
where are you
pain
alone
neglect
silence
anger
avoid
ignore
a tear
and now so much space
no one to appease
not a soul in the way
alone in my space
searching
calm
peace
free
dream
breathe
still a tear

still a tear | I love it! I was curious to see what you would write on this topic, and I expected something bitter and depressing, but this is great.

Bitter and depressing only because you are divorced, not because you're a bitter person.
I have no ideas of what to write on this topic so you may have to wait a very long time before your curiosity is satasfied.

And I see no need to disect your poem. I think it does a great job describing a persons feelings after divorce and their coming to terms with it. And that "Still a tear" adds a lot. It shows that even after a person "gets over" their divorce and moves on with life, that sadness is always still there.

dont tell
its been so long
in truth
thats a lie
more recent than not
shhh
dont tell
unlike anything else
utterly exciting
against the rules
total newness
shhh
dont tell
no name
no emotion
just to feel
for the first time
shhh
dont tell

robynm, OP here. You write really well. I enjoy the way it flows..... but what exactly do you mean by 'coming out in the open'?

I couldn't, I lied.
Not true.
I missed him.
I wished he
Would know.
It was over.
I was breaking.
I broke.
Now only me.
I lie in the dark,
Waiting, wanting.
He is no longer here.
Only me.
Alone.
Does he know?
Does he miss me?
Doesn't matter.
It's over.
Finnished.
Gone.

A relationship,
So intense.
And yet,
'Twas doomed.
Physical pleasure,
Could not,
Would not,
Sustain us two.
He left,
I mourned.
I mourned,
As I had,
Every two,
Weeks.
For a physical relationship,
Is no relationship.
To connect
Means more
Than just the thrill
Of lovers.
It means,
To love,
When in the daylight,
Without the covers.
To have him give,
Without the touch.
Was the one thing
She could not go on without.
So when he left,
She mourned,
She cried,
And yes she knew that it was good.
