There is a really good recipe in the Jamie Geller Quick and Kosher cookbook. Just add in half the salt, the recipe calls for too much and it's way too salty. If you need the recipe let me know.
p.s. my husband doesn't like chumus in general but really likes this one.

Can you please post it, ra_mom?

I got this from food network love the recipe if you do not have sesame oil you can skip it I personally love the kick it gives
Hummus
2 15oz can chickpeas drained and rinsed
1/2c olive oil or more as needed plus more for garnish
1/2 lemon juiced
2tbsp roughly chopped parsley
2 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2tsp dark asian sesame oil
1/2tsp to 1tsp ground cumin
12 to 15 grinds black pepper ( isprinkle a little and taste)
1/4 cup water
paprika for garnish
I do it with my handblender but you can do it with a food processor it keeps at least a week in the fridge I never had it longer than a week as the container gets wiped out
