I recently heard that it is a mitzvah to convert a church into a shul.
I have never heard of this before - have you ?

I don't know, but apparently the Xtians want to give us back a shul that was converted into church so we can convert it back to a shul, but in exchange they want something that has a link to Yoshke.

I have heard it but have no source. Most of what we see is vice versa, unfortunately.

I don't know if it's a mitzvah, but it's probably not a bad thing to do!

technically, not a vow. a neder has to be made aloud in order to be an actual neder. but you're right, many of us did. I forgot to look at the avatar. (call me tunnel-visioned, call me oblivious, but don't call me late to dinner. not today of all days, anyway.)

Well ladies. Do you want the thread to be deleted or what?

There have already been a few threads started by amother for no apparent reason. And I have seen that not everyone has kept to our decision (includung me ) So what does everyone suggest?

you pple are strange. What difference does it make if the avatar says amother or agreatmom or supermom or healthymama or momofthreekids ? she's not being attacking or hostile.
This reminds me of highschool. Immature.

uh, apparently you are unfamiliar with Yael's Rules and Guidelines where
she writes if the reason isn't obvious, to explain why it's anonymous
strange, immature - not exactly polite, you know ...

No person or group is being bashed in this topic. I question is being asked. I say who cares if its amother in this case.

Okay, I hear you. But aside from Yael's rules, is there any point to not answering legitimate questions from an anonymous person ? Isn't that what the pple at askmoses do all day ? Honestly, I don't see the big deal at all.
Also I would really want to know if Yael thinks it is a serious infraction that warrants this type of attention and ostracization.
The person who started the thread can give a reason for being anonymous or make up one- like that she just discussed this with her coffee clatch and doesn't want pple from there who are here to find out her screen name. Would that be any better ?

In this case, I think we can let it slide.
But everyone be warned:
WE DO NOT LIKE AMOTHERS WHO POST ANONYMOUSLY FOR NO REASON!
Have a nice day

Delete it, fine with me.
(as an aside, oftentimes I don't see that threads are started by amother b/c I read them from bottom up, and usually only read one or two comments before - therefore, I usually don't realize that a thread is started by amother until I've already commented and after it's brought to my attention).
