some kids have very straight hair, and the mothers want them to have nice payos (curled locks) so they take him to have a perm done. whoever does the perm, uses special shampoo and rollers and the perm usually stays for about 6 months.

are mothers who do this aware that perms are done using chemicals. That its one thing doing it as an adult on a regular basis thats bad enough, but kids are much more vulnarable, and absorb it into their systems.

as it is our shampoos are filled with shocking stuff, a perm is worse.

much better if they buy those velcro rollers and leave it in their payos overnight or buy a hot curler and curl it themselves.
its extra work but at least they aren't exposing their kids to toxic chemicals.
and if they can't be bothered then let the peyos hang straight.
maybe you can spread the word 7 amongst those people you know who do it, not to do it.

I also strongly object to mothers putting mousse in their little kids hair.

Ozmom, I'm sorry, but I'm not about to take away anyones parnassah..

a curler or velcro would keep it curled for that day.. a perm keeps it curly for about 6 months.

My sons get payos perms once or twice a year. It makes such a difference in how they look.
