how do I make chummus from a can of chick peas?
also how long does it stay fresh?

put the chickpeas in the food processor, add some of the liquid from the can to make it creamy (as you are processing) add some olive oil, salt and lemon juice, and garlic-I roast a head of garlic in the oven, and squeeze the inside of each clove into the chumus.

I don't have an exact recipe. But from what I know, real chumus has Tehina. So just add some Tehina (the not prepared type) to newlymarried's recipe.
edit to add: maybe I shouldn't say "real" Tehina because I can't speak for everyone, but rather Syrian Tehina.
