We have some close family simchas coming up Boruch Hashem! The thing is, I'm trying to economize, and don't know if spending the extra $75-100 on updos, makeup for the girls and myself will be an option.
I know we could do it ourselves, if I knew what to do. We have curling iron, blow dryer and hot rollers. Anyone have ideas, advice or how-to information? (sheitelmachers anyone?)

try to find a girl that is being trained or taking a course in hairdo's/shaitel machering. they are usually just as good as the proffessionals and alot cheaper.

Why do they need updos. The cutest thing and now really instyle is to pick up both sides with 2 bobby pins . Works great for a shaitel too.

I am not doing my dd hair in an updo what I just do (obviously depending the age) I am putting it into a side part with an adorable matching hair accessory and using rollers on her hair that will be down. I tried it this week for shabbos wet it first with mousse and she looks adorable lol. Me I will just be boring and put a clip or perhaps I will be creative and put a flower in my sheital... a fake one
