Help! I teach 3 yr. olds, and I am very good at a&c and visual aids and storytelling, and have many other teaching maalohs. (Humility is not one of them.)
However, I can not carry a tune in a paper bag, and my singing voice probably doesn't even count as
kol isha. 
I know and create many good songs, to popular nursery tunes, and most years we muddle thru' somehow, but this year, the kids just aren't getting it. I would like to improve the situation for next year. I tried to learn to play the recorder, and a sort of xylophone, but they were both too hard. Now I'm thinking of buying a kind of lap harp, where you slip in a paper, and follow the dots. Does that sound useful?
Any ideas for me?

Do you have assistants? Can they help with the singing?
Otherwise I would recommend using a CD/tape player and using that while you and the children sing. If they are new songs, or songs you can't find on tape/CD, can you have a friend sing them for you onto a tape/cd for classroom use?

Hm....I hate the creative arts and crafts part of teaching preschool. But love the music part.
Maybe we should be a team?
