Um,Not exactly.....this is what a lot of pple think that there is central Chabad funding, but there is not. Different people have different situations of course. Some people start out totally funding themselves (as seems to be the case in this situation), others get a salary for a couple of years from the Shliach in the area who brought them down until they can be self-sufficient etc etc

but can help in ohter ways,
this couple has to start from scratch ,
great couple, will do an amazing job, already have made contacts in the area, just having a hard time paying rent, and supproting the activities

Who brought them out, and who asked them to come?! Surely whoever did, didn' expect them to exist on nothing

Many shluchim have to raise money before starting the position. Raising money is a constant struggle and is always a part of shlichus. Unless a shaliach is hired to be a payed employee at a salary, they will alway have to raise money. Much of our tzedukah goes to our sons who are on shlichus. I am sure that Devorah's friends are capable but in order to survive on shlichus, they will have to constantly fundraise.

Yeh, they were asked by the head shluchim, who are themselves struggling very much,
they have to support themselves fundraise constantly,
but they are having a hard time starting off, because its a new place, the people that live there don't have a lot of money etc,
I was wondering if anyone has maaser, or know of anyone who would like to donate to such a cause
I really want to help them
