Ok, we're out of yeast, so that means we're using tortillas as our lechem mishna (as per our rav) because I'm not willing to wait on mile long lines to buy yeast.

To go with our tortillas, we have:
Lettuce
Onion
Refried beans
Chicken chunks sauted in shmaltz
Salsa

And then, of course, babganouj, mock chopped liver, and matbucha left from pesach.
Beet salad
Chicken soup with deep fried soup nuts.

Yeah, I'm the one that always posts Gruenkern Cholent. All it is is a yekkishe variation on cholent. Gruenkern is a wheat kernel which we use instead of beans.

Oh my gosh, I am so stuck for this shabbos. I haven't really done a grocery shop in two and a half weeks (aside for milk, apples, bread, and frozen green beans). My pantry is BARE!!!

This shabbos is being very minimalistic.

We're gonna have:

Eggplant salad and matbucha (from freezer)
Chumus
Split pea soup with barley
Nile perch with a terriyaki style dressing
Peas

Shabbos day will be pot roast with garlicky green beans.
