A close family friends daughter just got engaged. She is younger than me, closer with my sister than with me - but our families are very connected. The daughter is living in israel but came in for an engagement party (tonight!). I wanted to give her a creative gift and not something too heavy - I am sure everyone else is going to fill her suitcases with heavy things. I also would prefer not to give a check in this case if I can avoid it.
Any ideas would be welcomed. Especially from those living in Israel who can suggest something 'american' that would be helpful to a new bride!
