I've never had a manicure.
I would like to have one for a family chasuna next week.
dh doesnt want me to wear nail polish.
my Q is, is it worth it to have a manicure without polish?
also, should I cut my nails on friday (if I have it sunday)....
sorry, these questions probably sound ridiculous

I say yes if you can afford it you might find it very pampering. You could also ask for clear.

You could ask for clear or no polish. But it is worth it because you come away with smooth hands that look good and feel great as well. I would say you can cut them friday, but dont do it to short, so they have something to work with/shape. have fun!!!

You can use clear or a very light color. It might make you feel prettier by the wedding. You can do it friday if you have time then.

Yes it is. I do manicures without nail polish usually. I have it done before I go to the mikvah. It feels great and it's great to have that calming break. I would not cut my nails all the way.

I usually just ask them to buff the nails... its a reall prettty 'natural' shine.
(some places charge a bit more 4 a buff- the place I go to charges an extra $5 but its totaly worth it!!)

Don't cut your nails on Friday, they'll cut and file and shape the nails at the manicure place. you tell them what length and if you prefer rounded nails or straight/square shape.
ask them to buff them instead of polish.
even without polish its still worth it. (ask if they charge less without polish)
enjoy!! and mazal tov

Definitely wort it. Polish is like the icing on the cake. if the cake is good, it's good even without icing. (and if it's cardboard, all the icing in the world won't make it good)

I agree.
even with no polish, your nails will be nicely shaped and clean

The manicurist doesn't necessarily file and shape your nails. You can have polish only.
