We have had lots of building work done and it didn't quite go to plan...had to move out etc etc. My parents hosted us - it's now been a few months and we wanted to buy them a thank you gift when we leave. We're looking for something really special - we'd spend $100 - $200 on it probably. Would appreciate any ideas.

Looking at the date you posted, you've probably given a wonderful gift to your parents (what did you choose?) I find as a parent of married children and as a daughter of parents who never want me to spend money on them, the best gifts are any kind of pictures of the grandchildren, scrapbooks and most dear letters of thanks. One of my daughter in laws is very creative and she finds great ways to display the kid's pictures with the sweetest methods. THere are also all these companies that personalize pictures on a variety of gifts-- Hope everything worked out!
