How do you take it off?
And if you don't, how do you keep it from looking all smudgy shabat morning?
I never put on make-up before shabat because I can't take it off properly and I hate having to go to sleep with it.

I dont take it all off but I was taught that for smudged eye makeup you can first put water on, then wipe it off with a tissue....the rest of the makeup usually comes off when I sleep anyway.

I don't wash it off, but before I started using mineral make up that sometimes resulted in spots. bh thats not a problem using bare minerals.

Is Bare Minerals ok for re-applying on Shabbat, or are you just saying you apply before Shabbat?

I was told that for something not permenant there is no problem taking it off on shabbos with a tissue. my rav explicitly said that shabbos morning you can take a tissue and wipe it off. I dont put on foundation on shabbos usually because I dont like to sleep in it, but the next morning I either wipe under my eyes with a tissue or slightly wet my fingers and wipe it. depends how eisly it comes off.

ask the rov what you can use. I have a watered down liquid soap that I can use.

some say you can use on shabbos, but check that with your LOR. But I am talking about putting on before shabbos..the point is it is so pure you don't need to wash it off.

it might depend on how sensitive your skin is, Raisin. anyway, who wants to stain their bed ?

my skin is sensitive enough that it would break out in spots from other make up brands.

Anyway I have make up repellant skin...by the time bedtime comes its all off! my sheets are dark colours usually never noticed make up stains.

I have lots of mineral make-up and the sales ladies told me that I can technically sleep with it, that it's even healthy. I tried that once but I absolutely hated it.

But it's more the eye make-up that is problematic. My mascara is on my cheeks in the morning when I forget to take it off.

Wet your fingers and rub it off. no soap needed. or take a dry rissue and wipe it off. it comes off pretty fast by me. ask your LOR about the using tissues. I was told its ok- but others may say different.
