Wife would love her husband to be a wee bit romantic. Husband is dead straight litvak yeshivish with no thought of romance in his head. He also is a an absent minded professor who leaves all budgetary concerns to his wife abd usually walks around not knowing whats in the bank or not or whether he has $ money to spend in his wallet.
Every now and again when the wife who is desperate for a little present or flower will make a nice request, swallowing her need for some spontaneity.
Husband will always reply , I hear you and I am working on it.
6 months go by. No flowers, no chocolates, no notes. Wife feels a bit wilted.
She says to her husband, You know how you said you were working on you know what? Yes, says the husband questioningly,
" Well, do you think you can begin working on it NOW? "
