It's the recipe from Kosher By Design with the sliced potatoes layered with a sauce.

I make those scalloped potatoes for Yom Tov- theyre heaven! but so fattening so I dont make them for Shabbos.

I'm making:

Salmon (soy sauce and honey)
Chicken Soup
Potato Kugel (trying out new recipe from my sister in law but I dont have the kugel blade so I'm using my normal shredder- I hope the pieces arent too thick)
broccoli quiche
no desert Smile

Egg Salad (I like it with tiny red pepper chopped up in it)
Cholent
Deli Salad
Potato Kugel
?left over quiche

I think I'm going to invite myself to some of your homes for Shabbos!

I'm so incredibly sick of what I make, but there are some things (like Nish Nosh salad) that if I don't make, my guests are devastated about. One guy, when he told my Dh he was coming, said I hope Pinktichel's making that salad... he said he thinks I was making something else this week (planned on Caesar... made the croutons) and the guy was gutted. I'm back to Nish nosh now... Rolling Eyes

On top of that, there are so many things I've tried that ppl wont touch! It just gets wasted, so why bother? I might as well make things I know they'll like!

Arrrggghhh, I just want to eat someone else's food!!!! Exploding anger

Here you go:

Scalloped Potatoes
Kosher By Design

6 Tbsp. Margarine
1/2 cup flour
2 large onions, chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon salt
28 ounces chicken stock
9-10 large Idaho potatoes, peeled and sliced into half inch slices
freshly ground pepper
parprika

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9x13 inch glass or ceramic baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large pot, melt the margarine over medium-high heat. Add the flour, stirring constantly. Add the onions, mayonnaise, salt, and chicken stock. Stir until smooth. Cook until the sauce thickens.

With a ladle, place a layer of the sauce into the bottom of the prepared pan. Spread a layer of overlapping potatoes. Top with a layer of sauce. Repeat, alternating with layers of potatoes and sauce. There should be a total of 3 sauce layers and 2 potato layers, with sauce on top.

Sprinkle the top layer with pepper and paprika. Bake uncovered for 1 and a half hours or until golden.
