I remember a long thread last year or the year before, on end of year gifts/bonuses to nannies, cleaning help, etc. I searched and I can't find it. Can anyone help? Greatly appreciated!

huge difference between 1 weeks' salary to perfume/leather gloves. I almost panicked over there.
I usually give a couple of nice gifts, not expensive, chocolates/perfume what ever, plus $100-200. furthermore I pay the vacation day, its not like im paying per hour.
I'm also going away in january and sitter will have 1-1.5 week off fully paid that's my end of year gift, or beginning of year gift however you call it

I wouldn't think of it. At best, a card and a tiny gift if the person went out of her way for you, as opposed to doing her job.
