oh, my baby has a sensitivity/allergy to bananas - he had a rash for 2 weeks until we stopped it; I'm going to test it out again in a week or so iyh.
I'm going to ask my pediatriican after pesach, when SM is 8 months old, when to start yogurt.

My 7 month old is used to having his daily cereal - he's pretty fussy without it. I hope I can find pesachdige cereal. otherwise maybe I'll mash some ladyfingers and mix it with formula... |
mindy, the lady finger cereal is a problem because it has eggs in it. eggs should not be given to a baby before 9 months.

in israel we have kosher l'pesach, non-kitnios cereal. it's chestnut-based, and it smells okay. I used it for my older kids who were addicted to cereal.

Btw he's been eating little pieces of bread and he likes it a lot. I guess I'll ask my pediatrician. Or I'll push through Pesach w/o cereal, maybe I'll give him fruit to suck on in a net teether or mashed potatoes for breakfast instead...

From what I understand, eggs mixed into things are not as big a deal as eggs plain. I never heard the 9 month rule for eggs. I think it's an individual thing -- how sensitive your kid is, if allergies run in the family, etc.
Ask the doctor, but he might say SM can try it out.
BTW, I just started trying yogurt with my 8.5 month old. I was told it's ok to try, but don't try anything else for a few days just to make sure, since milk allergies are more common than others (yogurt isn't quite like milk, and that's why a baby can have it before 1)...Mindy, I suggest asking your doc about this too
