colored candle dripping pictures
cut up plastic bottles into different shapes, color them and hold them above a candle (not too close - awful fumes) , the plastic crinkles and shrinks into interesting shapes that can be used for a mobile.

They can make a great centerpiece for shabbos chanuka by filling clear plastic shot cups with lemon jello and, just before they jell, sticking pieces of licorice strings in them for wicks. Not sure how they'd get this home intact, though.

I always look for help on Torah Umesorah's website, which is at www.chinuch.org. There are so many resources and materials there available for download. They are constantly adding new things!
