Do you do your mani's on your own?

How do you do it? Any tips?

I find that my left hands/nails end up beautiful, but my right..... Confused

Do you soak you hands in something else other than warm water prior to do doing it?

Please share your tips...

Thanks.

Yes, I do my own manicures.
I've been doing it since I'm about 13, so I'm very good at it, thank God.
Rightys usually have that problem...lefties have the other problem. Work on steadying your hand. Practice makes perfect. Lady I do my manicures now with my husband driving 70 mph on the highway sometimes, and they come out great. Just keep your hand steady, that's the main trick.
I don't always soak my hands before, but I am forever moisturizing my hands, so they are soft.
Another trick is to start with one swipe in the middle and then do the two sides. Dip the brush in the polish and as you bring the brush up, press it gently against the inside of the opening of the bottle to remove excess polish. Some people say to swipe a layer horizontally across the tips of your nails to help them last longer.
After doing one coat of polish, let it completely dry before you do the second coat.

OMG I've never been able to do it myself! First of all, the nail polish comes out splotchy and not like the thing beautiful coat at the salon. Also: how do you go about removing the dead skin around the nail? It always comes out so uneven for me!

Maybe some people are just blessed with skilled hands and others with other talents...

True. Don't feel bad.
About cuticles, I don't remove them, I just push them back.

Lady.... it's not so much about the nail polish, I'm no so big on that... It's the filing, cutting, buffing etc..

I have something like this and something like this too. Then I have this too.

Am I missing any products?

I never had luck with shiny/pearly ones (streaks), better luck with neutral colour matte finish. Don't skimp on the base coat, and top coat.
